About Meko Experience - fly fishing and spa

The Meko Experience fly fishing and spa is a unique and one of a kind fusion blend of saltwater fly fishing and relaxation. The Omeko Experience Fly-casting and Spa is operated by two young Bahamians who have made a grave impact in their communities and nation at large. This is just another area of business and service where the intent is to leave a major impact on the lives of many. Mr. Omeko Glinton also known as ‘Meko’ (to the fishing world) and Mrs. Samantha Glinton also known as ‘Sam’ (to the Spa Relaxation world).

They are both certified professionals in their field, and together they have garnered over 45 years’ of experience. Meko had been in the fishing industry over 25 years with his concentration solely on Fly fishing and Bone fishing, while Sam has over 15 years of experience in the field of Massage therapy. Both Sam and Meko started their careers at the amazing Deep Water Cay Club which was the birthing ground for fly fishing and bone-fishing in the Bahamas, as well as the illustrious location. 

The Meko Experience and Spa is the first Fly fishing operation with a west and east location and accommodations that is extremely close to the fishing grounds and two of the best locations on the island when it comes to Fly fishing and Relaxation. This would give The Meko Experience Fly fishing & Spa the opportunity to fish the entire Island of Grand Bahama East West North and South without the thought of trailering far away from the fishing grounds. Both of our lactations and accommodations sits on beautiful oceanfront properties. 

The Meko Experience is also a fly casting, fly fishing, and guide training institution. We take pride in you becoming a better angler, as we would in you catching fish; because the better angler you are the more fish you will catch.

It has always been Meko’s dream to help train and teach the next generation of anglers and guides and improve the skills of every angler that steps foot on his boat. For this reason, we are making this a part of our operation. Once per, week you will receive a FREE introduction to fly casting and bone fishing lesson from Meko himself or one of his professional guides.

You will be able to book any additional casting lessons or guide training lessons once you are on the site.
